Each video offers valuable content plus a simple action step you can begin right away to get relief immediately.

Video 1 – Optimizing Meal Timing: When to Pick Up and When to Put Down Your Fork

meal timing: optimizing hormonesIf you’re trying to lose weight, it’s not just what you eat, but when you eat that’s important.

In this first video, find out why timing is everything when it comes to the cyclical hormones involved with digestion.

Dr. Ritamarie identifies which critical hormone needs to be balanced and will give you TWO timing strategies to help rebalance this hormone.

Video 2 – Looking at Belly Fat: The Dangers Your Mirror May Not Show

the dangers of belly fatWhen your pants are growing painfully tighter around your middle, you may be tempted, at first, to be more concerned about looks than life-threatening disease. In Video #2, find out how to tell the difference between a little extra pudge and dangerous fatty tissue around your organs.

Discover exactly how dangerous fatty tissue can have consequences involving inflammation, heart attack, cancer, and diabetes, and one culprit-ingredient to watch out for.

Video 3 – Resistance is Futile: The Sabotaging Effects of Imbalanced Hormones

appetite and hormonesTypically, when people are tired or overweight, the first area to investigate is the thyroid gland; however there’s a new hormone, only recently discovered by scientists, that is proving to be central when it comes to addressing hormone imbalances.

In Video #3, Dr. Ritamarie discusses the number of hormones involved in regulating blood sugar, appetite, and how resistance to particular hormones must be addressed before your efforts with diet and exercise can really benefit you the way they should. Try a strategy that will help optimize two of the hormones that can mess up your cycle most and breathe a stress-free sigh of relief.

Video 4 – Calorie Controversies: Myths About Diet and Exercise

fitness mythsIf you count calories, don’t miss Video #4. Not all calories are created equal, and in this video Dr. Ritamarie highlights which foods have the most impact on your results. In particular, she’ll outline and name a surprising list of foods that will help your body turn up the fat burning process.

When it comes to exercise you’ll find out what hormone targeting fitness activity is so effective that 30 seconds will net you the same benefit as 30 minutes of the usual recommended aerobic activity.

Video 5 – Sleep: How a Date with Your Pillow Protects Against Life-Threatening Diseases

the importance of sleepStudies confirm that even ONE poor night of sleep is enough to create insulin resistance in even a healthy person. In this final video, Dr. Ritamarie discusses the interaction of all the hormones that come out at night to regulate your body. You’ll find out which hormone, essential for fat burning and building lean muscle, surges an hour after you start sleep but ONLY in the absence of another digestive hormone and what you need to do to get the balance right.

Finally, Dr. Ritamarie will provide you with a single sleep strategy that could make up for a full month of sleep deprivation!

I have hypothyroid and have been medicating for over 20 yrs. I developed high blood pressure and high cholestorol for many yrs as well. After reading a book about why and how to do an elimination diet and following it for 2 months my cholesterol went down 30 points, I no longer need my high blood pressure meds and my thyroid meds are slowing going down. What was really recognizable was that I had more energy, no sinus problems and the chronic heartburn I was having was gone!
I had a problem when reintroducing food. Did not see any affect after most. Then I began to get some problems back…mainly lethargy and brain fog. I noticed my digestion slowing down and old cravings started acting up. I dont eat sugar or gluten and avoid grains as much as possible. I take a probiotic in the am. What am I missing? How can I figure it out?

Hi, Christine, Congratulations on learning more about your body and the things that will help it run more efficiently. It may be that you need to continue with the elimination diet a little while longer. Everyone’s body renews itself at a different rate. Keep a journal as you re-introduce one food at a time, noting the reactions of your body and emotions. If you haven’t already, I encourage you to learn more about our Energy Recharge Coaching program. I always run out of energy late afternoon. I also have some belly fat and my husband is allot worse and can not lose the weight. His blood sugar test is in the 80’s so he doesn’t think it is a problem. But after listening to you on the Functional Summit he could have high sugar after he eats. He loves his sweets but I have got him to eat a piece of fruit instead. I am trying to find a program he can live with, any help would be great.

I have diabetes which aggravates my attempts at losing weight. I also have high cholesterol and high blood pressure. A few hours after I get up every morning, I feel like falling asleep. I have cut out most carbs and starches as well as cutting back on junk food and soda. I now weigh 210 pounds and want to weigh 135 pounds. I try to eat healthy but it is not easy because I don’t have any appetite. I need help! I have spinal stenosis which makes it even harder to exercise.

I have ok energy, but I’d love to have more some day. I eat healthy most times. My weakness is sweets, I try to watch it. I go to the gym 5 or 6 days/week. I have hair loss, bad right now. I am wondering if garlic might be aggravating it. There are thyroid problems on my Mom’s side of the family. I have cool hands/feet, not as bad now i’m using natural progesterone cream, I have brain fog, I can’t seem to lose the 8 lbs I want to lose. I have belly fat. My weight is trying to increase every winter. I have problems with constipation and bloating. Ultrasound indicated thyroid cyst, but basic lab tests ok. There is diabetes in our family and i can tell my body is not digesting foods like before. Bread packs on my waist and i use little of it. I have cholesterol problems, but i stopped the lipitor (5 mg) due to muscle pain/weakness, and i think it helps aggravate my bowel problems. If I get my bowels going regularly I think i’d lose the weight i want. I won’t be surprised if I have a mild thyroid problem. I use chromium and other vitamins. Starting selenium. Any help wound be appreciated.

My low energy levels are hampering my ability to do much more than merely exist. I have long struggled with excess weight – nothing I tried (tried MANY diets & cardio) would budge more than a few pounds. I’ve developed metabolic syndrome and am sliding downhill towards full-blown diabetes. My thyroid panels have been coming back high TSH, low T4 & T3 (but at the high & low end of “normal” scale, respectively) & I have a number of hypothyroid symptoms. Because I fall within the range the lab considers “normal” my doc isn’t too concerned. Sigh.

About 18 months ago I was tired of feeling like I was made of lead and asked my doctor for help – she put me on metformin for metabolic syndrome & sent me for a sleep test which showed obstructive apnea. My CPAP took the edge off my extreme exhaustion, but the fatigue persists.

I just keep plodding along – not sure what to do or where to turn. I’ve been experiencing extreme stress over my elderly father (we put him in a nursing home this year, and it’s been awful) and I’m at the point where I feel like I have extreme anxiety to just being frozen and unable to do anything more than just put one foot in front of another. This isn’t thriving at all.

Looking forward to your videos. I am so grateful for the information.

If my energy wanes nowadays, I find it is because I am not utilizing one or two of the 5 Cutting Edge Strategies that Dr. Ritamarie teaches.

I had come across your YouTube video and it was very interesting as to the direction of how the body stores sugar in parts of the body. I am over weight, I have changed my diet at least 5 times during the past ten years. I don’t want to become a diabetic. I was going to a fitness club to exercise, it just seems futile. I am 58, I love organic foods. Again, having to watch your video may redirect me to a better diet plan. Look forward to your e-mails.

I guess it’s the arthitis…boo! My muscles ache and my skin is horrible. Ive been trying to eat mostly raw vegan but I love my organic fish and meat ocasionally. I been trying for a while, but I feel so hopeless. I’ve seen numerous doctors and still nothing has changed and I can’t afford it anymore. I’m too young to feel this way and I’m sad…a lot. I am incredibly sleep deprived. My nine month old hasn’t been sleeping well for the last 3 months, and I am woken at least five to six times a night. I am home schooling my other four children and need the energy and brain flow to benefit them. I have become overwhelmed and find myself becoming depressed with all that I’m not able to keep up with. I was very regular with yoga but haven’t touched my mat in ages. If I have time at night, I end up “vegging out” and snacking on nut-butter and chocolate as my stress relief. We are vegan and typically have a very healthy diet but I would always look for improvement.
